Banner Photo Submission – Usage, Quality & Resolution Requirements

When submitting your own photo for a senior banner, you must provide an image that you own the rights to or have explicit permission to use for printing.

As professional photographers, we take image usage and print quality seriously. If your photo was taken by a professional photographer (school, club, or private photographer), it is your responsibility to obtain permission from that photographer for banner printing. By submitting a photo, you are confirming that you have secured any required permissions and are assuming responsibility for any printing agreements associated with that image.

Photo Quality Responsibility

You are also responsible for the quality of the image provided. Large-format banners require high-resolution files. We reserve the right not to print any image that will not reproduce well at banner size.

Our goal is to produce banners that look professional and sharp. If a file is too small or low quality, printing it may result in blurriness, pixelation, or softness that cannot be corrected.

What We Require (Very Important):

• File size:
  • Image files must be measured in MEGABYTES (MB), not kilobytes (KB).
  • Files under 1 MB are typically too small for banner printing.
  • Larger files (3 MB, 5 MB, 10 MB+) are strongly preferred.
• File type:
  • JPG, JPEG, PNG, or TIFF
  • No screenshots, texted images, or photos downloaded from social media (these are compressed).

How to Check Your Photo’s Quality:

• On a phone:
  Tap the photo’s info/details and check the file size — it should say MB, not KB.
• On a computer:
  Right-click → Get Info / Properties → confirm the file size is in MB and that the image has large pixel dimensions (generally 3000+ pixels on the long edge).

By submitting a photo, you acknowledge that:

• You have the legal right to print the image.
• You are submitting the highest-resolution version available.
• You understand that images not meeting quality standards may not be printed.
